Job description
Lead, structure, and scale an engineering organization, including line managers and executive individual contributors across core sub-teams. Coach and mentor technical leads and managers, drive high engineering standards, promote a team culture, and maintain strong team health and manager ratings. Partner extensively with Product Management, UX, Data Science, Payments, Commerce, Trust and Safety and Marketing teams to land key initiatives. Foster technical leadership in frontend and backend architecture, reusable component design, user targeting systems, and anti-abuse mechanisms. Align organizational structures with shifting business goals, making clear trade-offs to resource high-priority initiatives while maintaining platform health. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in software development. 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role. 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role. 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C++ codebases) and front-end (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS). Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
