The effective Assembler candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing / production environment. Duties include What You Will Do: • Ability to follow detailed Assembly Instructions, write descriptive notes for defects or process info, and accurately log information identifying the serialized parts used. • Assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems. • May set up and operate a variety of machine(s) and hand tools/instruments. May route, dispatch and expedite flow of material. Checks for work correctness. • Material preparation, assembly, and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies. • Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, crimping, and securing cables to specific torque using hand tools. • Work performed in accordance with written work instructions to prescribed standards. Qualifications You Must Have: • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational / technical education in a related discipline • Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing databases and tools • Excellent hand/finger dexterity and extreme attention to detail • Demonstrated ability to adhere to detailed work instructions and quality standards • U.S. Citizenship is required Qualifications We Prefer: • Related experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment with hands on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection. • Basic computer and math skills. • Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.) • Ability to shift job assignments based on production requests. • Communicate effectively, develop more than one job at a time, and have the flexibility to work across shifts. • Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals. • Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process. • Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. • Effective time management skills. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is $18-$21/hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
