As an International Trade Analyst Sr within PNC's International Trade Product Delivery organization, you will be based in Cleveland, OH. The International Trade Services Analyst Sr is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of international trade transactions within the Documentary Collections team. This role supports clients engaged in importing and exporting goods by processing documentary collection transactions, including new transaction setups, amendments, document handling, and payment processing. The analyst serves as a key control point in ensuring compliance with trade finance regulations, sanctions requirements, and internal risk management standards while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external clients. Core hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am ET – 5:00 pm ET. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Process import and export documentary collection transactions in accordance with established procedures, regulatory requirements, and service level expectations. · Review and process shipping and trade-related documents received from clients and international financial institutions. · Accurately enter transaction details into trade finance systems while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and data integrity. · Perform sanctions screening by manually identifying and entering all associated parties, entities, vessels, and locations into compliance monitoring systems. · Conduct transaction-level compliance reviews, including assessment of high-risk goods, high-risk countries, pricing validations, and other trade-related risk factors. · Process a variety of transaction types, including new documentary collections, amendments, and payment settlements. · Prepare and distribute customer notifications regarding documentary collection transactions and related documentation. · Manage physical shipping documents, including document filing, retention, preparation of courier packages, and tracking of document deliveries. · Prioritize and complete daily workloads while meeting established deadlines and service standards across multiple transaction types. · Communicate professionally with clients, international banking partners, and internal business partners primarily through email and occasionally by telephone. · Identify and escalate transaction discrepancies, documentation issues, compliance concerns, or operational risks to management as appropriate. · Assist with process improvement initiatives and support departmental goals related to quality, efficiency, risk management, and client service. · Maintain current knowledge of trade finance products, international trade practices, and applicable regulatory requirements. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with trade finance products, including Documentary Collections, Letters of Credit, or other international trade services. · Knowledge of international trade regulations, sanctions compliance, anti-money laundering requirements, and trade risk controls. · Experience working with document review, transaction processing, or operational compliance functions. Job Description • Utilizes international trade-specific procedures, rules, guidelines and regulations. Evaluates and executes basic to moderate transactions. May approve international trade services transactions and processes. May have specific responsibility for one or multiple specialized products or functional areas. • Processes basic to moderate trade transactions of varying risk and financial value in accordance with procedures, rules, guidelines and regulations. Identify exceptions and may address escalated items under supervision. Interacts with internal and external stakeholders in completing transactions. • Administers trade compliance program against all trade transactions and escalates as necessary in order to mitigate bank risk. • Provides responses and documentation to inquiries and ad hoc requests for basic to moderate international trade products. • Verifies work processes to ensure completeness, accuracy and conformance to established service levels and applicable policies and procedures. May review reports to process transactions.
