Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting near real-time reporting data layers that power critical operational reporting and business intelligence solutions. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, analysts, product teams, and fellow engineers to build scalable and reliable data solutions using Oracle and other enterprise data technologies. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of data engineering activities including data modeling, ETL/ELT development, performance optimization, production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Oracle-based data engineering with a passion for operational excellence, data quality, and delivering high-performance reporting solutions in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Required Qualifications • • 6+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise data engineering and reporting solutions using Oracle and relational database technologies. • Design, develop, and maintain near real-time reporting data layers that support critical operational reporting and business intelligence needs. • 5+ years of experience in SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and database performance tuning . • Build, enhance, and support scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting datasets in Oracle and related data platforms. • Analyze and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions to improve system reliability. • Hands-on experience troubleshooting data quality, performance, and integration issues in production environments. • Develop automation and data processing solutions using Python or similar scripting languages. • Experience working with large and complex datasets while ensuring data accuracy, availability, and performance. • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, analysts, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Implement best practices for coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational support. • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvements, performance enhancements, and operational efficiencies. • Experience working in Agile delivery environments with strong ownership and accountability for results. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.​ • Preferred Qualifications • Experience with data platforms such as Teradata, Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure, AWS, or GCP . • Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), or specialty pharmacy data environments. • Familiarity with real-time data integration, CDC (Change Data Capture), or event-driven data architectures. • Experience with workflow orchestration and automation tools. • Exposure to cloud migration initiatives and hybrid data architectures. • Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational support best practices. • Education • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $92,700.00 - $185,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
