Job description
Design and oversee global accounting processes for advertising business growth, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and internal controls (i.e. contra-revenue, Operational Expenditure (OpEx), Cost of Sales, accrued liabilities and deferred-revenue and the related balance sheet reconciliations). Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to define and implement accounting systems and operational procedures that mitigate financial risk. Leverage SQL and data analytics to drive process improvements, automate workflows, and provide quantitative insights for business decision-making. Provide accounting guidance to sales and product teams on business models, agreements, and the operational components of new product launches. Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, and present financial results to management. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance. Experience in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and revenue accounting (ASC 606) in a public accounting or multinational company setting. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation. Ability to propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and challenges early, manage time, and follow work plans. Ability to have attention-to-detail, organizational skills and focus on continuous improvement. Ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional and international teams. Excellent investigative skills and ability to communicate with executive management.
