Job description
The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more. Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly. The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you. The Team The GTM Product Team develops intelligent systems and platform capabilities that power The Trade Desk’s global operations at scale. We collaborate with Sales, Business Development, Client Services, Revenue Operations, Legal, Finance, and HR to resolve complex operational challenges using data-driven design and scalable architecture. As these workflows evolve, we are rethinking enterprise software to be more intelligent, context-aware, and proactive. We believe the next generation of products will work alongside people, helping teams reason across complex processes, surface insights in real time, and make faster, more confident decisions. The Role Product Managers at The Trade Desk are strategic builders, product thinkers, and operators who thrive in ambiguity and move quickly from concept to execution. In this role, you'll help shape the roadmap for GTM products that power our global go-to-market organization and own the execution that turns those plans into shipped work. You'll start with a defined area and grow your scope as you prove yourself. It's a chance to sit at the intersection of platforms, product, and go-to-market innovation and to influence how GTM teams operate. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Data, and business teams to turn ideas into intelligent products and platform capabilities that help the business scale and execute. What You’ll Do (And Who You Probably Are) 1 to 5 years in product — or an adjacent role like solutions engineering, analytics, or consulting where you owned real outcomes. • Reach for AI the way most people reach for a search bar, to learn a new domain fast, draft PRD’s, synthesize user feedback, or query data without waiting on anyone. • Prototype fast. A rough working mockup (Figma, Magic Patterns, or an AI-built prototype) is usually the fastest way to align people and pressure-test an idea. You'd rather show than tell. • Build judgment about when AI helps and when it doesn't. Using it by default doesn't mean using it for everything, sometimes the simpler path wins, and you can tell the difference. • Take a fuzzy problem and make it concrete. You're comfortable in ambiguity, you can make a clear argument, and you'll push back when something doesn't add up. • Solve real problems for real users. Spend time with the Sales, Revenue Operations, and Client Services teams who use what you build, so your decisions come from their actual problems, not assumptions. • Connect the platform to the work. Get to know how the TTD platform; spend, pacing, optimization drives the GTM workflows you support and let that shape what you build. • Own outcomes, not just output. Define what success looks like, ship it with Engineering, then track the numbers and course-correct on what you learn. • Bonus, not required: exposure to CRM, revenue, or GTM systems, or to APIs and how data flows between enterprise tools. The Trade Desk does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firm recruiters. Fees will not be paid in the event a candidate submitted by a recruiter without an agreement in place is hired; such resumes will be deemed the sole property of The Trade Desk. The Trade Desk is an equal opportunity employer. All aspects of employment will be based on merit, competence, performance, and business needs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law. [LA JOBS ONLY] The Trade Desk will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Ordinance No. 184652. [SF JOBS ONLY] Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
