Finance Intern Description - This opportunity is intended for conversion to a full-time role that will not offer work authorization sponsorship in the future (full-time conversion pending performance evaluation post internship and available headcount). Work Description: The Finance Data Science Intern will support finance transformation and process improvement initiatives by leveraging data science, AI, and automation techniques to enhance reporting, analytics, and decision-making capabilities. The intern will analyze financial and operational data, develop data-driven insights, build automated solutions and dashboards, and explore AI-enabled opportunities to improve efficiency and business intelligence across the Finance organization. They will work closely with finance and GBU teams to solve real-world business challenges through a combination of financial analysis, programming, and data science methodologies. AI & Advanced Analytics Explore AI and machine learning techniques to improve financial analysis and operational processes. Evaluate opportunities to leverage generative AI for reporting, automation, and knowledge management. Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling. Automation & Process Improvement Identify manual processes that can be streamlined through automation. Develop Python-based scripts and automated workflows. Improve reporting efficiency and data accessibility. Document and recommend process improvements. Dashboard & Visualization Development Create and enhance Power BI dashboards and executive reporting tools. Develop KPI scorecards and business performance visualizations. Present analytical findings through clear, data-driven storytelling. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Finance, IT, and Data Scientists to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Participate in project reviews, team meetings, and stakeholder presentations. Communicate project progress and key findings to leadership. Education and Experience Required: 3rd Year of bachelor's degree completed in Finance or computer science. Must be enrolled full time at an accredited university. Has no more than 24 months of prior work experience professionally related to the intern requisition they are applying to (not including internships, teaching assistance, research work, or military experience) Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2027, and not require sponsorship in the future Common Tools & Technologies Microsoft Excel (advanced analytics, financial modeling, reporting) Python (data analysis, automation, machine learning) SQL (data extraction and transformation) Power BI (dashboard development and visualization) AI Tools (Copilot, Generative AI, predictive analytics tools) Power Query Data Visualization Expected Internship Deliverables By the end of the internship, the intern is expected to: Deliver an analytics, automation, or AI-focused project with measurable business value. Develop at least one automated solution that improves a finance process. Create dashboards or visualizations that support data-driven decision making.
