This role is for an Engineering Program Manager who will own the roadmap and drive execution for the Media Remote team — the foundational framework behind Now Playing, remote control, and cross-device media session coordination that Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV, Fitness+, CarPlay, and HomePod all depend on. What you ship doesn’t surface as a single feature to one set of customers — it’s the connective tissue that keeps media playback, control, and session state consistent across every device and app in the Apple ecosystem. Minimum Qualifications: 6+ years of technical program management experience delivering software products from inception to launch Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional projects across the full software development lifecycle Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage deeply in architectural and design discussions, including how operating system layers and full-stack platforms fit together Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones BA/BS in a technical field or equivalent industry experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing a shared platform or framework with multiple internal dependent teams, rather than a single customer-facing product Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous, cross-platform challenges into actionable plans Outstanding written and verbal communication that resonates with audiences from engineers to executives Experience leading complex, cross-platform integrations across iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, or CarPlay Superior organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities across multiple client teams Natural relationship builder who influences without authority and earns trust across all levels Self-motivated, proactive, and deeply accountable — you take ownership and follow through Strong facilitation skills for requirements gathering, design reviews, stakeholder alignment, and executive reporting
