Job description
Coordinate daily production schedules, workflow, staffing, and job priorities. Lead, train, cross-train, and support production employees. Monitor output, quality, scrap, yield, materials, and inventory levels. Ensure materials, tools, and supplies are available to meet production needs. Address production issues and escalate safety, quality, staffing, or scheduling risks. Enforce work instructions, company policies, safety requirements, PPE, and 5S standards. Maintain accurate production and ERP records and support cycle counts. Partner with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Stockroom teams. Support continuous-improvement and problem-solving activities. Provide the Plant Manager with feedback regarding employee performance, attendance, and development needs. High school diploma or GED required; related associate degree preferred. Manufacturing or production experience required; previous experience as a team lead, trainer, or senior operator preferred. Knowledge of production processes, ERP transactions, Microsoft Office, Lean manufacturing, and 5S preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, make sound operational decisions, and perform hands-on production work.
