Job Description Job Summary: Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and develops test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Performs electrical measurements and tests from test procedures and engineering specifications Set up and check out test station/equipment Maintains records on work performed, analyzes data collected and reports results (metrics) Removes, replaces and assembles parts and/or assemblies as required Performs necessary touch up and cleaning of deliverable hardware Monitors consumables required to support assemblies Maintain inventory of tooling and equipment on hand and advise on equipment required to meet production schedules including obsolete, repair or calibration status Verify accuracy of finished assemblies and data to provide quality output Process assembly using a variety of materials (adhesives, coatings, epoxies, etc.) Job Qualifications: Attention to Detail is required while performing measurements and tests to ensure that assemblies are completed with precision, accuracy, thoroughness and orderliness. Analytical Problem-Solving skills required to assist with test failure analysis and troubleshoot and advise engineers of root cause failure Collaboration & Teamwork is required to effectively work with team members, engineers and various support personnel Communication Skills-Oral, Listening & Written is required to effectively communicate and document test results Initiative is required to display strong personal initiative and motivation to achieve desired performance results with minimal direction or supervision. Continuous Learning is required in order to stay abreast of new assembly approaches, tools, and methodologies. Flexibility is required to quickly adapt to changing requirements and workload re-prioritization.
