This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. In this role, you will directly lead, supervise technicians, and coordinate additional teammates such as manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, production controllers, schedulers, etc. You will have ultimate and full responsibility for guiding your crew with the delivery of various fluids components for both GS1 and GS2 launch vehicles. We are building a road to space, and a rocket that approximates the size of the Saturn V. The path is long, with challenges at every step of the way. B shift - 3:30PM-2AM Responsibilities: Supervise personnel within the Manufacturing Operations group related to on-vehicle, manual, mechanized, orbital tube welding and tube bending fabrication. Guide teammates and ensure that each person has everything vital to safely succeed. Champion continued learning and growth to attract, develop, and retain phenomenal people. Conduct regular check-ins to ensure team member performance, fulfillment, and growth. Author job descriptions, screen candidates, and conduct interviews. Make hiring recommendations. Develop and implement process, efficiency, and continuous safety improvements. Responsible for prioritizing and establishing Work Center assignments, employee training, overtime assignments, and back-up for absent employees. Maintain all shop programs including Safety, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, FOD, Clean as you go programs. Qualifications: 5-8 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field. Leadership experience with dynamic team environments. Passion. Proficiency in interpreting engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and coordination skills.
