Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Packages assemblies and inspect wrapping, parts, and containers for conformance to company standards, customer requirements, shipping companies, and postal regulations • Weighs packages and determines postage and affixes postage stamps to packages • Prepares product and packages for shipping in conformity with company, customer, and government regulations, both domestic and internationally • Able to navigate and accurately enter data into various shipping websites for the generation of shipping labels • Able to navigate customer websites to provide up to date shipping data • Review questionable items with the company Technical Control Officer (TCO) • Sorts parcels for shipment according to destination or other classification • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. • Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time • Other duties may be assigned as needed Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Under the general direction of the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipper is responsible for the timely packing and shipping of manufactured pieces.
