Job description

Assist customers by answering questions, escorting customers to products and providing product information. Stock merchandise and/or display fixtures, maintain cleanliness of the department, process sales, and recover stock. Responsibilities: Model “Customer1st” behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer serviceAnswer customer questions; provide product informationStock/restock shelves, displays, and other merchandising areasMaintain stockroom standardsBuild ends/displays/signsMaintain compliance with ticketing standards; apply Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) security tags to operational standards, and deactivate/remove security tags from products at point of saleCondition shelves/displaysPut away returned merchandisePerform price checks; cashier dutiesComply with corporate policies and all safety guidelines/standardsPromote and follow Company initiativesMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationPrice Changing:Maintain merchandise price integrity and all signage;complete all price changes prior to store opening; process price change paperwork; research/correct auditsOrdering:Order merchandise; process orders, including Computer Assisted Ordering ; Monitor overstock/understock conditionsFreight Person in Charge (PIC):Supervise/train freight crew associates; verify aisles are clean and clear for store opening; maintain compliance with corporate policies/divisional standards: signing, recovery, stockroom, freight receiving/freight stocking, housekeeping standards, and all safety guidelines/standardsWine/Spirits Clerk (WA only):Stock wine/spirits; follow planograms and wine planners for display items; Manage ordering, product received, pricing issues, and overstock/out of stock itemsHost/Hostess o Serve Customers in friendly demeanor; handle and move objects such as glasses and bottles; obtain state server permit; monitor and maintain inventory of supplies; sell to Customers by influencing their preferences; maintain sanity standards in bar area Qualifications: Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or combination of relevanteducation and experience.Minimum 18 years of age/19in Idaho and 19 in Alaska if selling tobaccoAbility to pass drug testAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work weekendson a regularbasis; overtime as neededAccuracy/attention to detailAbility to organize/prioritize tasks/projectsFamiliarity with industry/technical terms/processesAbility to operate forklift, compactor, pallet jack, ShelfPrice Audit (SPA), Telzon, SwiftachWine/Spirits OrderClerk:Basic wine/spirits knowledgeKnowledge of Washington State Liquor laws that pertain to retail selling of productDesired Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structureRelated experience
