The ASDS SBU Engineering Execution Team is looking for a Senior Principal Engineer to perform as the Radar Hardware (HW) Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL ) for the XTR-2 program. This position involves leading a team of multi-discipline engineers and providing technical oversight as well as responsibility for the HW cost, schedule, and technical performance baseline. The selected candidate will work directly with Program leadership, Chief Engineers, other IPT Leads, subject matter experts, and the customer while executing Phase 1 of this multi-million-dollar contract. This is an onsite role located in Woburn, MA. What You Will Do • Owns all hardware development scope for XTR-2 across the four CDR-targeted subsystems: • GaN TRIMM • DREX • APCU (Power Control Unit) • Pedestal Servo/Controller System • Develops hardware design, schematics, layouts, and mechanical elements for assigned subsystems. • Owns subsystem-level requirements decomposition, design, and verification planning based on system-level flow-down. • Maintains subsystem-level ICDs and interface compliance. • Executes hardware analyses (thermal, mechanical, RF, EMI/EMC, power, reliability, etc.) on dedicated subsystems. • Works with MPM and CM team to manage CPI for supplier-provided design efforts with final oversight for incorporation into system-level design. • Produces all subsystem-level artifacts required for CDR execution. • Identifies and mitigates hardware risks (component maturity, manufacturability, supply chain, technology readiness, etc.). • Ensures HW development adheres to XTR-2 program constraints (cost, schedule, performance) • Coordinates closely with corresponding IPTs to confirm requirement interpretation and design alignment. • Supports integration planning, HW deliverables for system-level integration events, and test readiness reviews. Qualifications You Must Have • Typically Requires: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. • Experience managing project or program cost, schedule and risk or experience with Earned Value Management, Risk & Opportunity, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) or Integrated Master Plan (IMP) tools. • Experience with proposal or capture efforts. • Experience with technical and financial data and reporting. • Experience presenting program and technical issues to senior stakeholders. • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
