Job Description Summary Lead the MYA life extension pipeline from idea to launch, delivering significant annual backlog cost reduction for the MYA/Services business. Beyond core systems engineering, this role will champion the Engineer 2030 mission by integrating AI and automation into risk modeling and lifecycle management to drive faster, data-driven productivity decisions. The role involves high-level collaboration across NPI, Module Engineering, Reliability, and Repair to ensure our engineering processes are scalable, automated, and future-ready. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities • Apply mechanical design fundamentals, statistics, and failure-mode analysis to objectively evaluate risk vs. reward. • Innovate Processes: Leverage AI-driven tools and automation to optimize MYA data quality and streamline risk evaluation workflows. • Lead cross-functional reviews with the Chief Engineering Office, utilizing digital modeling tools to present clear, data-backed productivity cases. • Collaborate with engineering teams to manage creep programs and influence the transition toward "Systems-as-a-Service" digital maintenance models. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring all technical documentation and risk assessments align with the digital-first standards of Engineer 2030. Required Qualifications For roles outside USA: • Academic Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering preferred). • Proven hands-on experience in gas turbine design, operation, or repair processes. For roles in USA: • Academic Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering preferred). • Domain Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in gas turbine design, operation, or repair processes. Desired Characteristics • Systems Engineering Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional engineering programs from concept to implementation, involving stakeholders from distinct engineering disciplines (e.g., NPI, Reliability, Repair). • Digital Proficiency: Demonstrated experience executing projects utilizing data analytics, automation scripting (e.g., Python, SQL), or AI/ML-driven modeling to improve engineering workflow efficiency or risk evaluation. • Business Impact: Demonstrated ability to influence technical outcomes; must have presented data-backed technical business cases to leadership that resulted in documented process improvements or cost-reduction initiatives. • Professional Standards: Proven history of meeting aggressive project timelines while maintaining high quality standards. • Familiarity with lifecycle management and operation/maintenance of heavy-duty gas turbine equipment. • Experience applying Systems Engineering methodologies to large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. • Experience in applying digital tools (e.g., Python, advanced statistical software, or predictive maintenance platforms) to solve engineering challenges. • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring others in new technologies. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
