onsemi is seeking an MTS Analog Design Engineer, New Product Development, Power Management, to join our growing team in Roseville, California. This group is responsible for development of Power management products including DC-DC PMIC/POL converters for consumer, industrial and automotive applications. Responsibilities: Responsibilities Lead an Analog IC design team with product ownership and responsibility from definition to release to manufacturingMake assignments for team members, providing design guidance as needed, developing schedules and monitoring progress throughout the projectEvaluate intermediate and final results of projects during the design phase and during silicon evaluation, to ensure accomplishment of technical objectives.Work with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitors the progress of IC layoutWork with systems engineers, application engineers and marketing to prepare product briefs, datasheets, application notes and assisting in the definition of the product to meet customer needs as well as contributing to roadmap formulation and new concept creationDefine IP test plan and execution working along with product and test engineer.Define and manage IP quality standard for both industrial and automotive applicationsCollaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to productionInterface and lead discussions with the customer and/or onsemi field sales/field applications teams to understand customer designs, problems and support as requiredActively participate in hiring, developing and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation of the organization and growth of the individuals into leaderProvide technical leadership in driving architecture design and circuit design based on high-level specifications Own technical outcome of design, verification, implementation, and execution of Power Management ICs with complexities that can span from simple regulators to complex designs, control loops, and digital interfaces Understand project goals, create a realistic schedule and resource plan, track execution schedule to plan, monitor progress, and provide full clarity to the team on the goals and objectives Mentor the Analog IC design engineers Qualifications: Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 18 years of experience, or MS + 14 years of experienceSolid track record of releasing complex ICs/IPs to marketExtensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologiesGoal and outcome-focused with the ability to handle multiple projects within the teamExperience in simplifying complex problems into smaller problems and solving them as a teamAbility to clearly articulate issues, challenges, and concerns to all levels of managementStrong understanding of various Power Converters such as Buck, Boost, LDOs, gate drivers, comparators, linear regulators gm-stage and relevant Analog building blocksStrong understanding of control loop theories, topologies and architectures for Constant-on-time, Peak, and Valley Current Mode, Voltage Mode control loopsStrong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testingFamiliarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, Process, Device Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, and their impact on Analog performanceUnderstanding of large power transistor (LDMOS) Design, Layout, and RobustnessProficiency in leading-edge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-outAbility to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externallyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to quickly ramp on new systems and processesDemonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $169,050.00 - $287,500.00 Range exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
