Job description

Manage all aspects of the Shoe department which include Profit & Loss responsibilities, seasonal sets, on hand price integrity, and to maintain a clean, recovered, and in stock department. Responsibilities: Model “Customer 1st” behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer serviceMaintain compliance with the following:divisional signing, recovery, ticketing, stockroom, and fixture usage and maintenance standardscorporate policiesmerchandising standardsReplenishment Management System (RMS) functions and Function 8freight receiving and freight stocking standardsall safety guidelines and standardsshipping/receiving procedures shrink control guidelinesCoordinate and organize merchandising of the sectionReceive and process freightPerform inventory control functions, as requiredVerify ads and promotions are set to standardProcess mismates, as directedPlan ads/store events and verify they are set to standardMaintain compliance and follow up on planogramsVerify price changes are completed to standardPromote and follow Company initiativesSell merchandise to customersPerform cashier functionsAudit and take appropriate action on scan auditsProcess/file mail and maintain department booksMaintain awareness of overstock/understock conditions Respond to verbal customer comments/complaintsMaintain the condition of the departmentIdentify and take appropriate action on all maintenance/repair needsMaintain salvage proceduresProcess Intersection TransfersAudit and follow up on callbacksMaintain awareness and respond appropriately to daily/weekly sales All store management work with associates to manage all common associate areas (i.e. break rooms and training areas) to make sure they are inviting in appearance and reflect “Our People Are Great” Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation Qualifications: MinimumHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of six months Fred Meyer experience and one-two years related retail experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.Minimum 18 years of age Ability to pass drug testAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work weekends/nights on a regular basis, work any shift, and work overtime as neededMaintain confidentiality Accuracy/attention to detailAbility to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projectsFamiliarity with industry/technical terms and processes Desired Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structureAbility to operate the following special equipment, machinery, and/or special tools: Symbol, Enterprise Signs and Tags Printing (ESTP), and Shelf Price Audit (SPA) unitSecond language
