RESPONSIBILITIES • Complex Assembly & Installation: Perform advanced mechanical assembly, structural fit-up, alignment, and installation of components according to detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, bills of materials, layout drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate build execution. • Precision Measurement & Alignment: Utilize measuring tools (tape measures, levels, torque wrenches, calipers, etc.) to ensure proper alignment, fit, and torque specifications. • Material Handling: Safely move large or heavy components using cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other lifting equipment (if certified). • Quality Assurance: Conduct in-process inspections, verify dimensional accuracy, and ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. • Equipment Operation: Operate advanced hand tools, power tools, and specialized production equipment safely and efficiently. • Troubleshooting: Identify assembly challenges or design discrepancies and collaborate with engineering, quality, and supervision to resolve issues. • Documentation: Accurately complete production documentation, quality checklists, work orders, and electronic tracking systems. • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE guidelines, and company policies at all times. • Continuous Improvement: Support lean manufacturing initiatives, 5S activities, and process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. • Team Collaboration: Mentor less experienced operators as needed and work cross-functionally to meet production and project goals. QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma or GED required • 3+ years of manufacturing, industrial assembly, construction, or modular build experience preferred • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics • Experience using precision measuring tools and torque equipment • Forklift and/or overhead crane certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification) • Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking systems • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality • Ability to work independently and within a team environment Physical Requirements The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: - Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday. - Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. - Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, push and pull. - Perform grasping, handling, and repetitive hand and arm movements. - Maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools, equipment, machinery controls, and computer devices as required. - Safely operate hand tools, light power tools, and rotating equipment as required by the position. - Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the position. - Ability to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms, and work areas safely as required by the position Work Environment The employee will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to: - The need to work safely around manufacturing processes and equipment while following all applicable safety policies and procedure - Varying temperatures, including temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees. - Moderate to high levels of noise in designated production areas. - Outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and other environmental elements, as business needs require. - Welding operations, including exposure to welding arcs, sparks, heat, and airborne particulates in designated production areas. - TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED No travel required; position is facility-based.
