Our Landing Systems division is seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician responsible for assemble, test basic and major Landing Gear components for various types of narrow and wide body aircraft, prior to being delivered to the Customer. Position is 100% onsite at our Opa Locka (Miami), FL. Work Shift: Second Shift is 2:45pm- 11:15pm AM Monday – FridayOvertime as business needs determineTraining will take place for 4-8 weeks on First Shift, 5:45am - 2:15 pm, Monday –FridayWhat You Will Do • Install bushings, bearings, sleeves, and metal shims on all aircraft programs according to the overhaul manual specifications, using machinery and hydraulic presses • Utilize close tolerance measuring instruments to assure compliance with CMM specifications • Operate honing machinery and devices, including mill machinery for swaging of bearings • Utilize close tolerance measuring instruments to assure compliance with CMM specifications • Perform final inspection and stocking of bushings • Train employees on all required processes within the department, and lead the team and operations in the department in the absence of the Group Leader when required • Execute bush bore functions utilizing light machining.
