Job description
Develop extensive technical expertise in a broad range of data protection technologies that are deeply relevant to policy compliance (e.g., data annotations, policy enforcement engine, etc.). Work with Google infrastructure partners to integrate data protection capabilities to address Google’s data protection needs, timely and proactively. Design and build foundational infrastructure components that make adopting standardized data protection capabilities scalable, qualifiable and trackable (e.g., building technical solutions in detecting data protection capabilities in a given infrastructure or product). Be able to advance and extend the data protection standard to cover emerging Generative AI capabilities without impeding product area launch velocity. Integrate data protection posture signals with Google wide risk evaluation platform, which would allow Google to use a standardized common language for systematic technical responses to regulations and obligations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience with C++, large-scale distributed systems, and technical infrastructure. Experience with Privacy data handling. Experience with data governance frameworks and tools. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to drive change, manage conflict, and ensure policy compliance.
