Senior Program Manager Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Intelligence Systems Organization is currently seeking a Senior Program Manager with strong project management and leadership experience to manage a proprietary program within Mission Systems in Herndon, VA. This program's mission will give you an extraordinary sense of pride and satisfaction to be a part of it. We provide mission software and hardware and Operations & Maintenance support as well as development to improve the current capabilities and add new capabilities. This position will have responsibility for the Profit & Loss of the program and associated adjacencies. Position Responsibilities: Collaborate with the program’s Chief Engineer and technical capability leadership and IPT leads to plan, execute, monitor and control project work across the program Demonstrating proficiency in all program/project management areas in accordance with accepted program management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards) with a strong emphasis on culture, cost, schedule, technical solution balance with affordability Lead teams of 35+ engineering professionals with diverse backgrounds to accomplish aggressive project milestones and objectives Manage the Program Execution Plan and the implementation of all associated plans, to include the Configuration Management Plan, Asset Management Plan, Communications Plan, etc within an agile environment Develops project or operational plans aligned to Customer’s objectives Implements plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved Assigns authority and responsibilities to employees to execute the plan Makes appropriate adjustments and resolves issues Monitors appropriate metrics to ensure performance to plan Build a strong relationship with the customer and teammates to achieve overall mission objectives Ensure procurement activities across all aspects of the program’s O&M and development scope of work Ensures in depth analysis, lessons learned, and historical reports are incorporated into future project plans Provides input of team member performance to management, where appropriate Promotes a healthy team culture where innovation and ingenuity thrives, collaboration and communication is easy and safety and security is number one This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Herndon, VA site. This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience): 10+ years of experience in a role requiring project / program management skills to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience): Bachelor's or higher in Engineering Experience working in a cross functional environment Experience with developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders Experience leading agile development teams Experience writing proposals, Request for Information (RFIs) and/or Request for Proposal (RFPs) Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
