The Marketing Manager is a highly seasoned marketing professional that leads cross-functional projects contributing to development and/or execution of marketing plans/programs/projects/strategies by designing and delivering marketing solutions/insights consistent with TD’s marketing standards and strategies, in support of business results, customer engagement and experience. This role reports to the AVP of US Brand, Creative & Media, who leads US Brand Strategy, Creative, and the in-house agency. The person in this role will help plan and deliver brand campaigns, brand activations, and content, including creator-led content. You'll work with teams across Media, Customer Insights, agency partners, and business partners to support brand strategy and campaign execution. You'll also partner closely with the Canadian team to help develop and launch brand campaigns across North America. Depth & Scope: • Manages multiple marketing projects/programs/initiatives of moderate scope and complexity • Highly seasoned marketing professional role requiring substantial knowledge/expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas • Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations • Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services • Acts as a technical expert/lead integrating cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty • Leads cross-functional teams or projects • Independently manages end-to-end functional programs • Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions • Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions • Impacts the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for • Work is guided by policies and industry standards/methods • Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders • Works autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertise Education & Experience: • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required • 7+ years relevant experience • Advanced knowledge of multiple marketing disciplines, strategy development, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and product/customer markets • Advanced knowledge of customer and brand research techniques and ability to develop analyses and insights that will drive customer strategy formation and business decisions • Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations • Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget • Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership • Skill in mentoring, coaching and performance management • Ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives • Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions • Ability to make an impact, influence and achieve results with effective negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions • Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Preferred Skills: • In lieu of 7+ years of relevant experience, TD will consider those with 5+ years of relevant experience. • Experience managing agency relationships • Ability to influence through comprehensive, clear executive-level internal stories • Strong creative lens and an ability to influence creative outputs through thoughtful, strategic feedback • Experience coordinating complex video productions (ie.
