Job description
Enable Google's future products by contributing to platform architecture definition, electrical schematic design, and prototype validation. Work with all cross-functional teams (software, factory test, signal integrity, ECAD, product design, program management, etc.) to design, implement, and deliver prototype hardware to enable development activities. Plan and execute bring-up and validation of development hardware designs including functional verification, signal characterization, and power validation activities. Bring designs to production by defining factory test requirements, resolving build and test issues, assisting in software bring-up and debug, and working onsite with the manufacturer (if needed). Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience working in an electronics or embedded systems design technical environment, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. Ability to travel internationally up to 20% as required. Preferred Qualifications: Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field. 5 years of experience in consumer electronics design. Experience designing high speed digital systems. Experience with mobile SoC design. Experience with: embedded systems, various communication protocols (especially USB, SPI, I2C, I3C, PCIE, UART, MIPI, DSI), analog design, low power design, Cadence/Allegro. Enjoy being in the lab (soldering, oscilloscopes, data acquisition) and want to be in the details.
