Description: The Business Office Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and operational functions that support the Nursing Resource Department and Patient Safety tech department. This role provides leadership for staffing office operations, payroll and overtime monitoring, workforce management systems, and patient safety support services while ensuring efficient processes, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. This position plays a critical role in supporting workforce efficiency, operational excellence, employee engagement, and the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. Principal Accountabilities: - Supervise daily business office operations, including staffing office workflows, payroll oversight, scheduling support, and workforce management processes. - Serve as the primary resource for API staffing system maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and system optimization, while participating in regular operational update meetings. - Partner with nursing leadership to monitor labor metrics, reduce overtime utilization, and support effective staffing strategies across the organization. - Lead recruitment and onboarding activities, including candidate interviews, orientation coordination, and new employee integration. - Provide direct oversight of Patient Safety Technicians (PSTs) and Nursing Assistants (NAs) and sitter/float assignment operations, including rounding, performance monitoring, documentation audits, and operational support. - Manage employee performance processes, including evaluations, 90-day and 6-month check-ins, coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and related documentation. - Collaborate with nurse educators to maintain employee records, support education compliance requirements, and ensure workforce readiness. - Conduct audits of break sheets, sitter documentation, and workforce management records to ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies. - Coordinate employee recognition programs, maintain communication tools and recognition boards, and promote a positive workforce culture. - Oversee departmental documentation tools, Vocera device tracking, and other operational resources to support efficient department performance. - Utilize data and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities, enhance productivity, and support nursing resource management objectives. - Collaborate and coordinate with AHNMC Staffing Office team to effectively and appropriately schedule, train, and flex staff between the facilities - Collaborate and coordinate with the AHNMC Nursing Resource Department and its’ leaders to - Performs other related duties as assigned. - Maintains accurate records of staffing rosters, employee binders, and department Standard Operating Guidelines.
