Senior Software Engineer, Android, XR Camera Experiences

Job description

Guide the development and optimization of next-generation Android Glasses applications. Develop robust concurrency models and high-performance, privacy-compliant pipelines for image processing. Establish robust testing, monitoring, and infrastructure frameworks to guarantee exceptional product quality. Drive alignment across cross-product (xPA) and cross-functional (xFN) teams to deliver critical user journeys for milestone dogfoods and launches. Build foundational camera features alongside the Glasses Platform team, resolving low-level system challenges to optimize hardware-software cohesion. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in Kotlin or C++. 3 years of experience with Android application development and Android camera. 3 years of experience with image processing. 3 years of experience with concurrency. 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with large scale application design and architecture. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. Experience developing accessible technologies. Experience with iOS development .
