Join us and help run what runs the world. This position reports to: Account Manager - EPC __ As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is hybrid in Cary, NC. You will be mainly accountable for supporting the development of a structured market research and analysis framework for EPC accounts within ABB Electrification Utility. The candidate will work with the EPC Account Manager to help accelerate foundational activities supporting the long-term EPC go-to-market vision. Role Description: Collect, organize, and analyze historical EPC accounts and business information from multiple sources. Research EPC organizations, key locations, stakeholders, and market activity. Support market and project research by account, market segment, and territory. Support the development of visual reports, maps, and analytical tools. Assist with customer engagement and educational activities, including Lunch & Learns. Research customer requirements, vendor qualifications, and specification information. Identify trends, gaps, and potential areas for growth. Help establish repeatable tools & processes that can be maintained and expanded over time. Expectations / Deliverables: Provide accurate and well-organized account and market research. Support development of account, stakeholder, and project mapping. Identify relevant market trends and potential growth opportunities. Translate research and data into clear, useful insights. Document the work and establish a foundation that can be maintained and expanded beyond the summer assignment. Required Skills: Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to organize and analyze information from multiple sources. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability and willingness to learn new tools and systems. Ability to work independently with guidance and manage priorities. Interest in energy, utilities, electrification, engineering, or business. Preferred / Nice to Have: Exposure to data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Power BI. Coursework or experience in market research, data analytics, engineering, business, or a related field. Qualifications for the role: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Marketing (or relevant) in the United States. Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions. Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality. The hourly rate is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications, graduation year and experience. This position is expected to pay between $20 - $34 per hour.
