Software Engineer III, YouTube Shorts, Client Side Mobile (Android) Development

Job description

Drive full-stack development in the YouTube Shorts consumption experience, offering opportunities across client development (native Android and iOS), cross-platform UI and C++ frontend serving (server platform). Leverage Rasta, SQL/Go pipelines, and other tools for experiment and data analysis. Pioneer new work streams to build ML models and heuristics that will personalize and optimize the Shorts player UI. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in building features for android platforms, with experience developing cross-platform UI components. 2 years of client side development experience. 2 years of experience personalizing user interfaces through data-driven insights. 2 years of experience with Android development. Experience programming in C++ Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. Experience personalizing user interfaces using machine learning. Experience with iOS development.
