We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage. Responsibilities: Own and continuously improve the monthly and quarterly close process end to end, driving toward a shorter close calendar Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing for our manufacturing operations Research and memo technical accounting positions (ex. ASC606, ASC842, ASC470, ASC718) Partner with external auditors and support internal controls as we mature Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities Support ad hoc projects and analyses that support company-wide decisions Requirements: 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including manufacturing or industrial environments Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong US GAAP knowledge, especially revenue recognition, leases, and cost accounting A track record of owning full-cycle close and financial reporting Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment where you'll help define the process Experience with various financial systems such as Office, Netsuite, Ramp, FloQast, etc. Excellent communication skills cross functionally being able to translate accounting to the business Preferred Skills and Experience: CPA (active or in progress) Experience with government contractors (FAR/DFARS, CAS, DCAA) Big 4 or mid-tier audit background
