Software Engineer, Search, AI/ML

Job description

Design, implement, and maintain high-quality software focused on mitigating a full range of external and internal access-related security risks within Search. Contribute to the codebase by authoring technical design documents, writing well-tested code, and participating in code reviews and debugging to ensure system reliability. Participate in team planning to translate the team's high-level technical goals and strategy into actionable engineering tasks that align with quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs). Work closely with peer engineers, Technical Program Managers (TPMs), and other stakeholders to deliver on project milestones and provide regular progress updates. Foster a collaborative and safe environment by communicating effectively, valuing perspectives, and supporting your peers. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with software development in C++. 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field. 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging). Experience in system design, system architecture, and large-scale distributed systems. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. Experience in implementing data privacy principles, secure data managing, or data governance frameworks. Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring organizational policy compliance programs. Experience in analyzing data sets using database and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, R, Python).
