This role acts as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, driving talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, and day-to-day HR execution in a fast-paced fintech environment. What You'll Do Partner with client-group leaders on workforce planning, org design, and talent strategy Coach managers on performance management, employee relations, and difficult conversations Use employee data and HR metrics to identify trends and recommend proactive interventions Lead or support talent reviews, compensation planning cycles, and promotion processes Manage employee relations investigations and disciplinary actions with sound judgment and documentation Drive engagement initiatives and support change management for organizational shifts Ensure compliance with federal, Texas state, and local employment law Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and L&D to deliver an integrated employee experience Support M&A integration activities as needed (if applicable to Apex's growth strategy) What We're Looking For 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in an HRBP or generalist role supporting client groups Experience in financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry preferred Strong data fluency — comfortable pulling insights from HRIS/people analytics tools to inform decisions Demonstrated ability to influence at multiple levels, including senior leaders Solid grounding in employment law (Texas and federal) Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; PHR/SHRM-CP a plus High discretion and judgment — this role handles sensitive, confidential employee matters daily Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
