Software Engineer, Chrome Networking Security

Job description

Collaborate closely with other teams, in Chrome Security, Chrome more broadly, and other teams at Google. Manage and prioritize assigned tasks and projects, ensuring the timely delivery with minimal guidance. Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve the safety, reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the code we own. Participate in security launch reviews, as well as the Chrome Security Shepherding rotation or an equivalent rotation. Design and implement features, metrics, and tools to make Chrome more secure while also participating in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with software development in the C++ programming language. 2 years of experience building software for Web Privacy or Securit (e.g., identity and access management). Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience developing Network Security solutions. Experience building for the web, particularly Chromium browser development. Familiarity with transport layer security and related technologies.
