This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Consultant- Traffic Engineer to work out of our Herndon, VA or Richmond, VA office. Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as Project Lead for the design, management and delivery of traffic engineering projectsDevelop concept level to final design traffic control device plans for construction/advertisementPerform traffic operations/safety/capacity studiesTalent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering7+ years of experience in a related engineering positionVA PE registration, or ability to obtain within 6 monthsExperience with traffic control device design in signing, pavement markings, signals, lighting, maintenance of traffic and ITS designExperience with Advanced Transportation Management Systems (ATMS) and Advanced Traffic Signal Controllers (ATC) including the development of a Concept of OperationsExperience with traffic safety, operations and capacity analyses, signal optimization, corridor studies, and use of traffic simulation modelingSpecial provisions, RFP and cost estimate developmentStrong communications skills and the ability to work on a team and perform projects with guidance and mentoringHands-on experience with CADD software, including the most recent version of MicroStation and traffic engineering software such as SignCAD, HCS, Synchro/Sim Traffic, VISSIM and ArcGISPreferred Qualifications: PTOE, VDOT NOVA experience WSP Benefits: WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. Compensation Expected Salary (all locations): $111,000-$189,000 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law. #LI-TH1
