BOM Configuration Specialist – Indianapolis, IN The BOM Configuration Specialist supports the business requirements, coordination and maintenance of the Experlogix product configuration process. This position creates product rules that deliver product data for multiple software applications, including, but not limited to, support for applications used by External customers, Sales, Order Management, and Operations. This position is also responsible for Product Entry Tables, Product Structures (Bills of Material), Item Masters, and related system attributes that are managed in an ERP environment (Microsoft Dynamics). This position supports the Experlogix Product Configuration Life Cycle ranging from New Product Development through product obsolescence. This position provides timely support to customers by troubleshooting Experlogix ASSIST incidents impacting successful use of Experlogix product configurations by the calling applications. This position also directly supports an Allegion manufacturing facility and the product structures that are manufactured and shipped from that location. What You Will Do: Research, prepare, and configure product, pricing, and manufacturing rules using Experlogix product and sales configuration software. Provide system integration, technical and programming knowledge with regards to configuration build rules, relationships, and logic Maintain the accuracy and alignment of product, pricing, and manufacturing rules across Allegion’s suite of business solutions and systems. Develop efficient and effective configuration rules in Experlogix. Perform quality assurance testing and proofing of Experlogix data in calling applications. Mange/Create/Maintain product Bills of Material Work with Product Management to build configuration rules in support of specified vertical market campaigns. What You Need to Succeed: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science/Technology, Information Technology (IT), Engineering or Manufacturing Technology or related technical field preferred but not required. Experience in an IT or product configuration-related role, computer programming experience, and/or relevant manufacturing experience. Demonstrated technical experience with multiple complex systems, i.e., CRM, PLM, ERP. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for excellence Ability to effectively manage time to complete multiple tasks within specified time frames. Strong administrative and organizational skills, attention to detail and sense of urgency. Ability to comprehend complex expressions and decision trees/flow charts. Knowledge of Allegion products preferred. Ability to communicate clearly and precisely, both oral and written. Why Work for Us?
