Principal Accountabilities: (including but not limited to) The essential function of this position includes assisting patients with obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heightsAssisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, accommodations as neededperforming EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring if neededTaking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, and helping with minor medical procedures like wound care, vaccinations, and blood draws, if neededobserving and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RNExamination rooms: Preparing examination rooms as neededDocumentation: Documenting patient information and data, including vital signs, weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature Supplies and equipment: Preparing, organizing, and efficiently utilizing supplies and equipmentPatient Care Technician must be willing and able to work with diverse group of patients, each with unique healthcare needs. They need to be attentive to detail and have excellent communication skills.maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or GED required.BLS preferred upon hire; required within 3 months of hire.Preferred: Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Care Center.Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months preferredCCMA in PCT program related preferred6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred.
