Key job responsibilities • Work alongside ML researchers on Computer Vision, Deep Learning, NLP, and broader Machine Learning • Access and analyze large-scale datasets (billions of images/video, terabytes of text) • Own end-to-end system design from research to prototype to production • Write white papers and contribute to technical roadmaps • Partner with scientists to deploy models to production • Collaborate cross-functionally across research and engineering teams Basic Qualifications This program is for students graduating between June 2027-June 2028. • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field — specializing in Machine Learning, NLP, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or Data Science • Available for a full-time internship in India in 2027. Yes, our start dates are flexible! • Strong programming skills (Python preferred); familiarity with C/C++ or Java • Practical machine learning experience • English proficiency required Preferred Qualifications • Research experience in CV, DL, NLP, or broader ML • Publications in top-tier venues (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AISTATS, ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, ICASSP, KDD) • Experience building large-scale ML systems A day in the life Your 6 months internship includes: • Research mentor from an internationally recognized team • Access to Amazon-scale data and compute — work with datasets and infrastructure few organizations can offer • Learning opportunities — access to virtual trainings on project management, personal brand, communication skills, and more • Taking ownership of your career — a successful internship could lead to a full-time offer after finishing your studies Basic Qualifications - Are enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's degree within last 12 months - • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field — specializing in Machine Learning, NLP, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or Data Science - Strong programming skills (Python preferred); familiarity with C/C++ or Java Preferred Qualifications - Experience programming or scripting language like Python, Java, C or C++ - Experience researching about machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, data science - Publications in top-tier venues (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AISTATS, ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, ICASSP, KDD) Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
