As a Project Intern, you will contribute to impactful short-term projects and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment. Responsibilities: - Research payroll tax legislation changes and assess business impact of tax law changes; - Research and provide up to date tax rates for US jurisdictions; - Assist in building and maintaining payroll tax database; - Support to ensure tax registrations are up to date across US states; - Prepare draft tax technical positions papers for review by management before implementation; - Support to test payroll system updates, document test scenarios, validate results, and report defects; - Review large datasets and extract insights to inform payroll tax processes/policies; - Data preparation and coordination to support completion of tax returns; - Other payroll tax duties as assigned; - Demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in payroll tax, tax technology, payroll operations, with an eagerness to develop knowledge of federal, state, and local tax requirements and technology enabled compliance processes. Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Undergraduate in computer science, accounting, law, finance or a related discipline. - Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills, ability to take initiative with a strong interest in US payroll taxes; - Ability to work independently, manage multiple data cycles, and meet tight deadlines; - Strong communication skills to explain data issues and findings to cross-functional partners; - Detail oriented, organized, and efficient in work processes; - Exceptional research and writing skills.
