Software Engineer Manager II, Spanner Enterprise

Job description

Manage SWEs to work on large-scale feature development and integrate with other products in the wider Spanner ecosystem. Collaborate closely with other Spanner teams and broader partner teams and work with manager and Spanner leadership to define future Spanner roadmaps. Manage a team, work with backend technologies, collaborate across multiple teams to achieve long-term goals, and continuously adapt to new tools. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in software development. 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role. Experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems. Experience devising product vision, product roadmap(s), and execution working with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization. Experience with Distributed Databases or Distributed Storage.
