Who we are looking for State Street Investment Management is seeking an experienced Business Development Associate (Officer) to join our U.S. Cash Distribution team. As one of the world's leading asset managers, State Street Investment Management oversees more than $6 trillion in assets and manages approximately $600 billion across money market funds and short-duration fixed income strategies. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the growth of our US Cash Business by engaging with a broad range of institutional liquidity investors, including asset owners, financial institutions, and intermediary partners. What you will be responsible for As a Business Development Associate, you will: Partner closely with a Senior Cash Sales Director supporting all aspects of institutional sales and relationship management to some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated organizations Focus will be diversifying the client base through new prospect engagement, including daily consultative outreach and calling, developing new leads, utilizing market data, trends, and industry knowledge to secure new meetings Plays important role in territory management including identifying new prospects, cultivating existing relationships, and executing a strategic business plan Participates in various client facing meetings and industry events where appropriate – stays current on economic and market developments and contributes value-added information during client interactions Using your technical and research skills, remain current on the competitor landscape, key differentiators and competitive advantages You will assist with preparing and organizing RFPs, marketing materials, and presentations for various meetings and events Keeps current on regulatory developments affecting cash products and communicates regularly with clients, partners and senior leaders in the cash business Collaborating and building relationships with a number of different teams within SSGA: legal, compliance, finance, product management, portfolio management What we value These skills will help you succeed in this role Minimum of 1-3 years financial services experience in sales – ideally with money market funds and fixed income Your desire to increase the firm’s assets under management through building and maintaining strong client relationships is evident Your willingness to learn and grow with the team and with the organization make you a great fit for our growing business Are you a self-starter and do you have energy, enthusiasm, optimism, a strong work ethic, and a high degree of integrity? Education & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Required FINRA Series 7 and 63 Preferred Additional requirements Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Excel Work Requirement Hybrid with 4 days in office Salary Range: $60,000 - $101,250 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
