Job description
The AppleCare Field Service Diagnostics Engineering team is seeking candidates with strong experience building automation frameworks and tools to validate diagnostic and repair tools used to service Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and Apple Vision Pro. This position requires a passionate and self-motivated individual with excellent cross-functional communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to adjust to rapid change. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, eager to deep-dive into technical areas, and inclined to explore and integrate AI initiatives into existing processes. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of Swift and Python programming experience. Experience building and growing XCUITests and supporting frameworks. Possess a proven understanding of software testing and QA methodologies. Ability to extract user scenarios from software feature descriptions and requirements to translate them into effective test plans and cases. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and thrives in a dynamic, collaborative team environment. Strong knowledge of Unix-based systems. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of CI/CD systems, like Jenkins. Understanding Apple Service Toolkit 2 and Field Diagnostics ecosystems. Exposure to MDM solutions like Puppet or Ansible. Previous professional experience with robotics.
