This 10-week internship isn't a "shadow and take notes" gig. You'll work in real codebases and on real product decisions, solve actual technical problems, and help shape how millions of people use fintech. You'll join a cohort of 20 rising seniors for an intensive summer built to develop the next generation of SHARKs (our new grad program). SHARKS are Strategic. High-achieving. Expect hands-on development and strategy projects, AI-powered work, and mentorship from people who've been in your shoes. The basics: 10 weeks, June–August 2027 | In-office 4 days/week in Austin, Chicago, Dallas, or NYC Roles You Could Interview For Our tech interns work across a range of teams. Past placements include: Software Engineering (Front End, Full Stack, Automation, AI) Product Management (Platform, Solutions Architecture, Client Delivery) Project Management (Platform, InfoSec, IT) What You'll Do Own a real project with actual deliverables and deadlines Ship code that impacts live systems and users, or dig into user research and data to inform product decisions Debug, test, and troubleshoot performance issues, or work alongside engineering, design, and marketing teams Work on LLM integrations, conversational interfaces, and RAG accuracy Get paired with a mentor and take on weekly challenges that test your GREATness (Grit, Respect, Empathy, Accountability, Teamwork) Pitch your work to executives at FINTANK, our capstone showcase Why It's Worth It Real work from day one. Not sideline observation Mentorship from current engineering and product SHARKs Top Finterns get first dibs on full-time SHARK offers Tech & tools: Claude · Claude Code · Golang · Java · Python · C++ · JavaScript · Git · JIRA · Confluence · Monday.com · AWS or GCP · AI development tools What We're Looking For Rising senior graduating December 2027–June 2028, available for the full 10-week commitment Pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Informatics & Systems, Product Management, or related STEM/technical field Typically 3.0+ GPA (exceptional candidates with strong leadership encouraged to apply) Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and version control (Git), or experience/coursework in product management, business analysis, or project management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable with technical ambiguity and complex systems Demonstrated technical or product leadership through internships, projects, or open-source contributions Strong communicator who works well in cross-functional teams Genuine interest in fintech and building scalable financial products Eligible to work in the US without employer sponsorship Why Apex?
