This role requires deep subject matter expertise in the title insurance and mortgage industries, including title data sources, title search and examination processes, title underwriting standards, title defects, curative workflows, and automated title decisioning. Translate title underwriting concepts, title search logic, title defects, curative requirements, and marketable-title standards into business rules, data requirements, decision logic, controls, and technology requirements. Evaluate automated title solutions, title data vendors, title insurance products, and emerging title technologies, including support for build/buy/partner decisions. Partner with modeling, analytics, and technology teams to develop and validate title risk decisioning frameworks, including rule-based engines, scorecards, exception logic, confidence scoring, and model-supported approaches where appropriate. Work with Legal, Fair Lending, Compliance, Oversight, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure title risk assessment solutions are responsible, explainable, controlled, and aligned with applicable policies, laws, regulations, and Freddie Mac standards.
