Job description
Plan and execute project work, manage priorities, and drive progress. Participate in system design for cloud expansion with senior guidance. Deploy and configure air-gapped solutions like Google Distributed Cloud (GDC). Install and configure core infrastructure: network switches, firewalls, block/object storage, servers, and hardware security modules (HSMs). Identify deployment requirement issues and help the team course-correct. Triage infrastructure errors and address commonly escalated issues. Leverage scripting and automation to improve deployment, configuration, and management for air-gapped solutions, reducing systemic toil. Communicate deployment knowledge within and across teams. Identify stakeholders and contribute to cross-team collaboration, coordinating timelines and objectives for assigned components. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. 2 years of experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting infrastructure or large - scale distributed systems. Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance, and the willingness to undergo a polygraph. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Linux/Unix environments, Kubernetes, and network administration (LAN/WAN). Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools. Experience managing core hardware components such as network switches, firewalls, storage systems, and HSMs in a data center environment. Understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), group policies, and hardening practices for secure environments. Ability to effectively communicate technical timelines and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
