Business Development Associate Internship: Summer 2027 Job Overview: Our Business Development & Sales teams are seeking Summer 2027 interns. These positions would like the ideal candidates to be local to the San Diego, Austin, or Carolina’s office, functioning off a hybrid schedule at the intern and managers discretion. (2-3 days in the office) Business Development at LPL Financial is the initial point of contact between LPL & the Financial Advisors. BD interns help build the bridge with advisors seeking greater control over their professional and personal life & our recruitment team. The intern is responsible for driving lead flow into our recruitment teams in order to increase sales. Responsibilities: · Obtain exposure to systems, databases, and other applications used by the company on a daily basis. · Participate in process walkthroughs in accordance with department and professional standards. · Work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to interact not only with the team’s management but also with other business units’ management. · Practice project management through handling various assignments and projects. · Expand knowledge through training and other online courses. · Get to know us as an employer and experience our working culture up close through our summer programming events. Requirements: • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028. • Interest in the Sales/ Business Development industry • Offer is contingent upon successful background screening and agreement to be local to the Fort Mill/Charlotte, Austin, or San Diego offices - Selected candidates will operate out of the office working on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office) Core Competencies: · Organization and strong communication skills (verbal and written) · Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Salesforce (CRM) · Goal-oriented mindset with an eagerness to learn. Summer 2027 Internship Schedule: • Full - time position for 10 weeks in the summer of 2027; Monday through Friday, working 40 hours a week during business operating hours. • Internship dates: 6/1/2027 – 8/6/2027 PLEASE NOTE: This role follows a priority application approach.
