In this role, you will contribute to the design and optimization of products and manufacturing operations by evaluating materials, manufacturability, performance, cost, and functionality. Working alongside engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams, you will help improve designs, solve complex technical challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines. How You'll Make an Impact Create layouts, detailed drawings, and designs for complex product components and systems. Utilize CAD/CAE tools to develop and refine engineering concepts. Research manufacturability, material selection, and equipment capabilities to optimize designs. Evaluate strength, weight, cost, and performance requirements during the design process. Identify design issues and recommend improvements that enhance quality and functionality. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support product development goals. Assist in preparing cost studies and technical documentation for assigned projects. Provide guidance, training, and technical support to less experienced team members. Your Background Associate degree, technical diploma, vocational education, or equivalent experience in engineering design, drafting, manufacturing technology, or a related field. Several years of experience in product design, manufacturing design, or engineering support functions. Proficiency with CAD/CAE software and engineering design tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges. Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements. Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently under limited supervision.
