The Opportunity We are seeking a Material Handler I for Abbott Vascular in our Westford, MA site. This is an onsite role. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. What You’ll Work On: Performs manual and clerical duties, which may utilize computers, in the movement of materials. Pulls material from warehouse stock using a pick list and possibly radio-frequency device Utilizes a bar code scanner to scan items for material airlock picklist. Transports materials using a forklift, pallet jack, or truck to the designated location. Responsible for the management/maintenance of materials in assigned roles. Participate and complete cycle count activities on a weekly basis. Performs SAP transactions to clearly identify the status of the material. Examines all packages visually at the time of delivery for any damage, and compares the identity and quantities listed on the packing slips, invoices and freight bills to the packages to ensure the information is accurate. Lifts packages up to 50 lbs. Prioritize daily tasks to meet material demands, and maintain a neat and orderly workplace. Solves problems of limited scope and complexity with direction from lead or co-workers. Maintain a neat and safe work environment. Some areas will require the handling of chemicals with proper training and PPE. Support all initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements. Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Required Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience 0-3 years of experience within the healthcare, medical device, or biotechnology industry.
