Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Electrical Wire Routing Engineer​ (Level 3) OR Senior Principal Electrical Wire Routing Engineer​ (Level 4) in aircraft subsystems development to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. As an Electrical Wire Routing Engineer, you will focus on the design and development of aircraft subsystem wire routing solutions. Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Utilize NX software to design and route cables in 3D space, integrating with Capital to import data and produce detailed cable drawings. Review routing designs created by others, provide feedback to improve design quality and efficiency, and collaborate with the electrical team to understand design parameters. Design cable supports, electrical components, and enclosures using NX 3D modeling tools. Participate in subcontractor management activities and serve as the technical point of contact for suppliers regarding hardware development, qualification, and procurement. Basic Qualifications: This requisition may be filled at a Principal Electrical Wire Routing Engineer​ (Level 3) OR Senior Principal Electrical Wire Routing Engineer​ (Level 4) level based on the qualifications below. Principal Electrical Wire Routing Engineer​ (Level 3) Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience. Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company. Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Top Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company. Experience in supplier relationship management, including briefing, coordinating, and/or following up with suppliers. Professional experience with NX, CPLM, or equivalent tools. Experience with Capital Wire Harness Design software or comparable wire harness design platforms. Senior Principal Electrical Wire Routing Engineer​ (Level 4) Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related professional/military experience. Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company. Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Top Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company. Experience interpreting component detail models & drawings, specifications, and installation drawings. #Yellow Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
