Senior Staff Software Engineer, Uber TL, P2020 Rollouts

Job description

Own technical strategy, engineering architecture and designs underpinning multi-change orchestration for areas within the 110-person+ P2020 Rollouts team. Lead initiatives to enable continuous deployment of complex changes, offering an opinionated and governed solution for coordinating multiple roll-out units. Issues will include capacity management continuous deployment, requiring precise ordering of changes across server, infrastructure systems and service dependencies, and complex system changes like data migrations and new feature launches, which often involve human-driven processes and tools. Lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and influence the overall technical direction of Rollouts. Lead, oversee and guide project work including through coaching and growth of Rollouts TL delegates. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, Python, or Go). 8 years of experience with public cloud, software-as-a-service (SaaS), infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), or enterprise applications. Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) in compute infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes). Preferred Qualifications: Experience working collaboratively with other designers (e.g., UX researchers, UX writers, product managers, and engineers. Experience delivering software reliability and support outcomes at large-scale. Experience delivering developer productivity platforms or tooling. Experience with Full Stack Development.
