The Role Mach Industries is hiring a hands-on Product Manager to own the vision and technical strategy for our software products. You will embed with operators and program teams, turn ambiguous, mission-critical needs into a single prioritized roadmap, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering to scope, ship, and measure new simulation capabilities. You’ll also partner with business development, marketing, and proposal teams to tell a clear product story and support large-scale customer demonstrations. This is a builder role for a technically fluent PM who can bridge users, engineering, and the business in a fast-moving defense and autonomous-systems environment. Key Responsibilities • Articulate a clear product vision and own the technical strategy for Mach Industries software products. • Serve as the voice of the user by embedding with operators, gathering requirements from teams across all programs, and translating their collective needs into a unified and prioritized product roadmap. • Decompose ambiguous, complex problems into concrete technical plans, working hands-on with engineering to scope features, plan sprints, and drive execution through the entire product lifecycle. • Partner with business development, marketing, and proposal teams to provide compelling storytelling, communicate product capabilities, and participate in large-scale customer demonstrations. • Lead the hands-on delivery of new simulation capabilities, establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and inform future product strategy. • Actively help define and drive product team culture, developing relationships that bridge the business and technical worlds and establishing best practices for product development at Mach Industries Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another related engineering discipline. • 5+ years working in product development for complex software systems (robotics, simulation, or mission-critical defense applications), with at least 3 years specifically in a hands-on product management capacity. • Robust technical aptitude — able to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, architectural tradeoffs, and risks; effective working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering teams. • Demonstrated success decomposing complex problems into addressable component parts. • Proven ability to motivate cross-functional teams and work with internal and external stakeholders across a wide range of technical comfort. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Background in defense, aerospace, or autonomous systems through industry or education. • Prior familiarity with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance, export-controlled data restrictions, and DoD cyber security policy frameworks.
