Job Description: Utilize theoretical knowledge of computational finance to design, develop and support applications and/or systems within the financial modeling and research area. Design and develop new code and review existing code changes to ensure standard technology development practices are met. Assist in the operational execution of software solutions to assist with the monitoring and control of market and credit risks. Assist with application development and with modification and/or maintenance of applications. Demonstrate theoretical knowledge of development tools and languages. May assist other areas of financial research and engineering when defining requirements for systems applications. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems. Works under normal supervision. Follows established directions. Work is reviewed for accuracy of technical analysis and overall adequacy. Primarily intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters. Multiple open positions. Position may be eligible for part-time telecommuting. Job Requirements Master's degree or the foreign equivalent* in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related quantitative discipline. Must have demonstrated knowledge** of: programming in Java and Python, specifically related to application development stack; end-to-end software development; Test-Driven Development, continuous integration; and, web technologies. *Employer will accept any combination of education that has been evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the equivalent of a U.S. degree. **Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training, and/or experience. 40 hours per week 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM. Work location: 8200 Jones Branch Drive, McLean, VA 22102. This position has a prevailing wage range of $126,090.00 to $140,449.92 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
