Job description
Conduct quantifiable analysis of network data and capacity forecast models to enhance scalability, efficiency, and user experience. Evaluate network system inefficiencies and flaws to design and implement improved software, designs, and processes. Develop software to improve the performance, security, transparency, and manageability of network systems. Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex software, hardware, and other network system problems with minimal guidance. Scale systems sustainably by creating tools and automation that improve system reliability and operational velocity. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support multi-vendor, SDN-based wired and wireless networks. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Network Engineer-related occupation. Position requires 3 years of experience in the following: Large-scale network design, including capacity allocation and growth forecasting; Network troubleshooting to resolve interruptions using established procedures and tools; Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for exchanging routing information between autonomous systems; Designing technology-enabled automation to streamline network processes; and Writing readable and structured code in Python, C++, or Go for software development utilizing engineering best practices.
